Coachella 2024 Weekend One Recap
I’ll have to admit I was a little bit skeptical of how great this years Coachella was going to be when the lineup dropped this year. A lot of people on social media weren’t impressed and I felt the same. I’m not sure why that was the general consensus about the lineup. Maybe there wasn’t enough legacy artists on the bill (my reasoning), maybe there wasn’t enough popular genres, maybe not enough mainstream artists. I don’t know.
I’m glad I was proven wrong about it. This years Coachella left me with a smile I haven’t gotten off my face since I came back every time I think about the weekend.
Day 1 I got a chance to check out Sabrina Carpenter, Tinashe (play the original version of Superlove for Weekend 2 please), Peso Pluma, Hatsune Miku, Justice, and Lana Del Ray (of course). Sad I didn’t get to check out Peggy Gou and ATEEZ due to the time restraints but my personal favorite that day was Yoasobi.
Ikuri is too cute. I mean just listen to her!
Day 2 I went to the STEEZY House of Reflections pop up before hitting the festival. Was there to support Maddie aka MUSUBI. I actually had a STEEZY subscription before (did you forget I’m one of the greatest dancers of all time?) so it was my kind of people. Dope visuals and a chance to get my influencer on
Finally getting to the festival got to check out Sublime, Blur, LE SSERAFIM, Tyler The Creator. Shorter day since we came from the party (sadly I missed thuy cause of that.) I think most people who know me would know my highlight of Day 2
No Doubt
Day 3 was when the age was hitting hardest and it was the shortest day so it was struggles. But gotta say fuck it. Caught Jhene Aiko, Doja Cat, J Calvin, Renee Rapp, 88 Rising Futures (with my favs Yoasobi again and ATARASHII GAKKO). You know I’m a huge rap guy so my favorite was Lupe Fiasco
Thanks for another great weekend Coachella. Looking forward to Couchella for Weekend 2
